One example of this is a park or a community hall. Premises can also mean an area that does not normally have a liquor licence, but has one so that liquor can be served at a special event.
Establishment or premises are businesses that have a licence to serve or sell liquor. In this course, we call alcoholic beverages liquor. Ethyl alcohol is the type of alcohol that is in alcoholic beverages. Alcohol: Used to mean pure or ethyl alcohol. Serve: Unless it says otherwise, serve is used to mean selling and/or serving liquor in both retail (such as liquor stores) and non-retail (such as bars, restaurants, stadiums, theatres, pubs, at special events) places where liquor is sold. They are not included in the Glossary and do not appear in blue font in the program content. Word Usage in this Program The following words are used in a specific way throughout this program.
